MedCareers to Develop and Operate Healtheon/WebMD’s Career Center

MedCareers, an online recruitment site launched in February, and Healtheon/WebMD announced on April 6 announced that MedCareers will develop and operate the WebMD Career Center on Healtheon/WebMD’s portal for doctors and healthcare providers. Under terms of the agreement, MedCareers will pay Healtheon/WebMD $40 million over five years, and Healtheon/WebMD will promote and market the co-branded site to its members. Healtheon/WebMD will also receive a share of revenue generated by the cobranded site.
Launched on February 15, 2000, MedCareers is 30 percent owned by Healtheon/WebMD and is headed by Will Goldstein, former head of medical staffing company J&C Nationwide.
