Position Overview:
A healthcare facility in Petersburg, Alaska is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join its team. This full-time, day-shift role is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit rural community.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications in accordance with physician prescriptions and regulatory standards
Monitor patient medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations to optimize outcomes
Ensure proper storage and security of pharmaceutical supplies
Oversee medication inventory, ordering, and management
Educate patients and healthcare staff on proper medication usage and potential side effects
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care
Maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

Current and valid Alaska Pharmacist License (or ability to obtain)
PharmD or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
Previous hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
