Description
Cardiac OR – Operating Room
The Adult Cardiac OR cares for a wide variety of patients. CABGs, TAVIs, and Heart Failure (VAD’s, ECMO, Artificial Heart and Heart Transplants) to name a few. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the OR staff cares for patients of all ages.Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases which may include CABGs, structural heart cases (Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (Impella). Transplant, TAVI/ TAVR experienced preferred but not required.
Skills
Requirements:
Active New York RN License
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
Level 1 Trauma OR experience preferred
Ability to circulate in complex cardiac surgical cases
Certifications Required:
BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
