Seeking a Full-Time Permanent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner! 

Details:

The PMHNP in this position will perform professional level work in meeting and conducting assessment, medication evaluation and management, treatment planning and discharge planning services to adult individuals and families. Responsible for treatment plan coordination and client support systems. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides basic care management services to the mentally ill in a clinical setting 
• Communicated with follow on providers after patient is discharged 
• Assist patients/families 
• Assist with intakes and assessing admission 
• Provides therapeutic interventions, medication assessment and crisis response 
• Responsible for psychotherapy services 
• Requests personality, intelligence, and other clinical tests 

Qualifications:

• Completion of master's degree or post-master's degree in nursing with psychiatry specialty from an accredited college or university 
• Possession of current license to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in New York or eligible for licensure 
• At least 1 year experience in the psychiatric setting as an NP
