A well-established pathology lab in Water Valley, MS is seeking an experienced Pathologists Assistant to join their team. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a self-motivated professional, as you will be working independently to assist pathologists with a range of diagnostic procedures. Experience is preferred due to the solo nature of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently assist with the preparation and examination of surgical pathology specimens and autopsies

• Perform gross examinations of surgical specimens and prepare tissue for further processing

• Prepare detailed reports and assist pathologists with case review

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procedures and specimens

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Pathologists’ Assistance

• ASCP certification or eligibility preferred

• Previous experience in a pathology lab is strongly preferred due to the independent nature of the role

• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a high level of accuracy

• Strong organizational and communication skills
