What You’ll Do:
- Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver clinical interventions aligned with regulatory standards.
- Provide skilled, rehabilitative treatments for patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Administer procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and support devices.
- Assess patient progress, communicate with supervising therapists, and adjust treatments to optimize outcomes.
- Offer consultation and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Document all care activities accurately within electronic health records, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development.
- Support and supervise students as assigned, and assist in obtaining necessary supplies and equipment.
Required Skills:
- Valid State Licensure as a PTA
- Strong knowledge of clinical rehabilitation techniques and procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to accurately document patient information and treatment details
- Proficiency in working with electronic health record systems
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in Long Term Care settings
- Familiarity with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) standards
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree or diploma from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare or Long Term Care environment (preferred but not mandatory)
Other Requirements:
- Active State Licensure as a PTA
- Ability to work days, with flexibility for occasional meetings or training sessions
- Reliable transportation for any required travel or meetings
