Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Hospitalist Great opportunity offering a competitive compensation and full benefits package! Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day shift Job Details: - CPR Required - 1-2 yrs experience required Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) Hospitalist will manage inpatients including but not limited to admissions, discharges, disease management and work closely with nursing services to provide exceptional clinical care. Additionally, the NP Hospitalist will provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, medical staff, nursing services and other allied healthcare discipline. NP Hospitalist will cover call from Friday 7P until Monday 7:30 AM. Qualifications Current NH Certification and Registration as a Nurse Practitioner Preferably current Certification by a Nationally recognized Accreditation Nurse Practitioner Organization Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required Essential Functions of the Job Promotes and provides quality and efficient care to all patients in conjunction with the Hospitalist service. Admits and manages all patients in conjunction with the Hospitalist service. Provides medical consultation as requested by members of the medical or surgical staff in conjunction with the Hospitalist service. Responds to in-house emergencies. Provides education to the medical and nursing staff. Assists in CQI programs. In concert with the Chief Medical/Quality Officer and the HOS Hospitalist Services, participates in the implementation/development of treatment plans, clinical guidelines, etc., to assist in medical care. Consults and support the Case Management and Utilization review persons. Responsible for appropriate coding and documentation. Takes call from Friday 7P until Monday 8P for hospitalist and community services (OP practices including nursing home). Is knowledgeable of Corporate Compliance responsibilities and adheres to current rules, regulations, and policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities. Assists other employees and/or departments with compliance issues and demonstrates support of the Corporate Compliance program. Reports compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner. Other duties as requested.
