As a Director of Clinical Operations and Service, you will: Direct sales and marketing activities within an assigned geographical territory and participate in regional, divisional, and national sales efforts. Generate sales correspondence, contact referral sources, and participate at mall displays, health fairs, conventions, etc. Accompany sales and marketing professionals on sales calls to provide clinical expertise as needed. Negotiate/establish local contracts with referral sources, third party payers, state/local/provincial/local governments and ensure profitability and the effective servicing of all assigned contracts. Assist the Market Manager in developing an annual market assessment, budget, and business plan. Prepare cost analyses to determine the feasibility of pursuing local managed care and capitation opportunities. Ensure that all potential patients receive an assessment visit prior to case acceptance and oversee/ensure that documentation meets requirements for reimbursement. Oversee identification of the goals, challenges, problems, and requirements of individual patients and their families. Conduct meetings to ensure proper communication between clinical associates, intake scheduling/service delivery, patients, referral sources, and payers. Discuss operational issues and update staff on new or changed regulations and review documentation requirements, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct case conferences and surveys to ensure the quality of service and complete evaluations according to corporate policy and governmental regulations. Participate in and encourage quality assessment and improvement activities, and determine or implement staff disciplinary actions as needed. Direct staff recruitment and development activities and conduct ongoing skill evaluations to ensure the quality and accuracy of their work. Monitor staff and schedules, matching staff to patients based on individual needs. Qualifications Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing or the equivalent Minimum of eight years clinical experience in the area of specialty At least two years in a managerial role RN licensure in the state(s) of practice Thorough knowledge of community, acute or home healthcare supervision and administration, governmental home health agency regulations/Medicare and all related services and resources Excellent organization, problem-solving, communications, presentation, and decision-making skills
