A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing Primary Care team.



Responsibilities:

  
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments to manage a range of patient health and wellness issues
    
• Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed
    
• Obtain patient medical histories and document pertinent health history data and results of exam according to established standards
    
• Make recommendations for appropriate patient treatment plans based on assessment of needs
    
• Initiate treatment by prescribing medication, ordering diagnostic tests, exams, and procedures
    
• Review lab results and propose plan of action according to results
    
• Coordinate care and perform routine health maintenance for established and new patients
    
• Provide preventive health services by counseling and educating patients and families
    
• Provide care for women's health, including performing pap smears and other related tasks
    
• Assist in quality management, as needed
    
• Perform other duties, as needed
  

Qualifications:

  
• Bachelor's Degree
    
• Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license required
    
• ACLS / BLS certification 
    
• Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin)
    
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
    
• Great interpersonal skills 
    
• Excellent and communication skills (written and verbal)
    
• Strong attention to detail
    
• Highly organized
  

  
• Previous experience in a Primary Care setting
