We're currently seeking an Advanced Practice RN - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner The UVA Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) serves as a regional perinatal center for northwestern and western Virginia and offers consultations with a board-certified neonatologist 24 hours a day. The 45-bed NICU is equipped with comprehensive tertiary-level care facilities including ECMO, inhaled nitric oxide, and high frequency ventilation. The Newborn Emergency Transport System (NETS) provides stabilization and transport via intensive care van for distances up to 100 miles and aircraft for longer distances. The Neonatology Follow-up Clinic conducts multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental and medical evaluation and reassessment for patients under 18 months of age discharged from the intensive care unit.
