From caring for fragile newborns to complex cardiovascular patients, Corpus Christi Medical Center ensures the community receives the highest quality medical care available.   Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 631-bed Health Care System offering a comprehensive scope of inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and specialty services, including:   24-hour Emergency Services Bariatric Services Behavioral Health Services Cancer Diagnostics & Treatment Cardiovascular Testing & Surgery Diagnostic Imaging/MRI Breast Diagnostic Center Inpatient Rehabilitation Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Level I, II, III Maternal and Neonatal Transport Neurosurgical and Neurological Services Orthopedic Services Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Women's Health Center   Corpus Christi Medical Center is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at our Doctor's Regional Medical Center campus.  The 10-bed bed unit is a 24-hour provider of acute care services provided for adult and geriatric population with a wide variety of medical - cardiac diagnoses.  Intermediate Care Unit, IMU, IMCU, Progressive Care Unit, PCU, Step-down, Cardiac, Telemetry   RESPONSIBILITIES:   Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act with emphasis on the cardiovascular service line Use therapeutic communication in daily practice Maintain a safe and therapeutic Telemetry environment Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual Telemetry patients Evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others to make informed choices regarding health care Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver Participate in cardiovascular department specific initiatives and process improvement Promote a supportive Telemetry environment Provide supervision of new employees, patient care assistant, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses and/or nurse externs Maintain high quality (age specific) care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as assigned Support the mission, vision and values of the organization
