Youth Crisis Center, Inc. (YCC)

POSITION: Licensed Therapist / Counselor (LPC/LCSW)

SUPERVISOR: Executive Director

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

HIRING BONUS: Up to $5000 signing bonus

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or similar licensing or provisional licensing, or the ability to be licensed in Wyoming to provide therapeutic counseling services. One year of experience providing services to youth and their families is preferred. Candidates with a provisional license or those working toward their license may be considered for the position. Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass extensive background check.

KEY JOB TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide therapy / counseling session to by inpatient and outpatient clientele.
* Flexibility in scheduling to meet clientele and provider needs.
* Build and establish clientele through attendance at meetings and follow-up with YCC team (crisis shelter, group home, day resource), visits and collaboration with
external agencies, community presentations, and networking.
* Maintain 22-30 clinical patients for weekly treatment (individual or family services) to provider 88-120 hours of billable services each month.
* Assist with therapeutic/psychoeducation groups (1-3 groups weekly, depending on availability/need).
* Provide and receive clinical and multidisciplinary guidance and support through involvement in YCC Case Management team.
* Support BSW/MSW (or similar) students as a YCC clinician or field supervisor during practicum.
* Participate in weekly clinical supervision as appropriate for licensure. Clinicians are responsible for tracking clinical time as indicated by the Wyoming Mental Health
  Licensing Board.
* Provide documentation and treatment planning according to Medicaid standards.
* Assist in the development and delivery of clinical services as needed with YCC programs.
* Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

standards, and seek additional opportunities to increase standards and performance at YCC.
* Reliability - arrive to work on time, maintain good attendance, attend all meetings as scheduled, complete work accurately, and follow through on all job tasks.
Additionally, respond quickly to staffing concerns, and provide fair and accurate feedback, evaluation, guidance, corrective action, and assessment of staff.
* Stability - respond to crisis situations, staffing conflict and emergencies, and other pressure/tension with calm adherence to policies and procedures. Demonstrate
the ability to utilize flexibility when problem-solving, without breaking rules/guidelines, to meet the ever-changing needs of the environment, standards, residents,
staff, and crisis situations that may occur.
* Teamwork - professionally and successfully supports and collaborates with coworkers, supervisors, partner agencies, and families for the success of the staff,
programs, and residents.
* Youth Engagement - support staff to cultivate an encouraging and supportive environment while engaging youth in positive opportunities that help them to achieve
success. Provide training and guidance that supports healthy boundaries/relationships for youth and staff.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Knowledge of adolescent development.
* Working knowledge of community resources for juveniles and families.
* Possess knowledge of Wyoming juvenile statutes, confidentiality, custody, health codes, licensing, certification requirements, safety procedures, etc.
* Work collaboratively within the clinical Team to provide guidance, participate in problem solving, evaluate and improve agency practice standards, communicate
collectively, and coordinate services to youth, families, and staff.
* Other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director or Clinical Director.
