Clinical Manager/Licensed Therapist

SUMMARY:
The Pathways Program Manager (PM) is responsible for implementation and oversight of Wraparound and Pathways to Wellbeing (PWB) services, including Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) services, Intensive Care Coordination (ICC) and Intensive Home-Based Services (IHBS). The Pathways PM provides support and coaching to Family Therapists, Intensive Care Coordinator, and Family/Youth Support Partners as needed. The Pathways PM facilitates, or sits in, on high needs Child and Family Team (CFT) or Wrap Meetings and provides leadership to the clinical team in quality assurance, crisis intervention, and implementation of applicable Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TFC Services:
Oversees the provision of TFC services and processes (e.g., TFC Parent training, TFC services documentation, TFC parent evaluations, etc.) to ensure compliance with SDCC policies and procedures, and as approved by San Diego County BHS.
Provides support as needed to Foster Family Agencies with TFC Resource Families.

Wrap Services:
May provide ICC or wraparound services for a small caseload of high needs youth.
Provides PWB training to families, stakeholders, and community partners.
Assists in identifying cases requiring Wrap or TFC services (e.g., IHBS, additional ICC services, and Family/Youth Support Partner support).

Supervision, Support, and Coaching:
Provides formal and informal coaching and training to clinical staff.
Shadows Family Therapists in CFT meetings to provide support and feedback; may facilitate or co-facilitate as needed.
Supports teams with engaging family and informal supports to promote permanent connections for youth and provides parenting support and education individually or in group settings as appropriate.

Outreach, Collaboration, and Consumer Feedback:
Provides community outreach and education and represents FFAST in community meetings as assigned.
Maintains clear, effective, and open communication with internal staff/programs and with community partners, and ensures direct reports do the same.
Assists with coordinating family engagement activities and Program Advisory Group meetings to gather feedback.

Other:
Will respond to after-hours and weekend crisis calls as assigned.
Displays a commitment to anti-racism and engages in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within clinical work, the program, and the organization.
Fulfills all contractual and organizational training requirements.
Other duties as assigned by the FFAST Director.

Range of Authority:
Supervises TFC Clinical Lead, Family Therapist assigned to San Pasqual Academy, Intensive Care Coordinator, and CSW Trainees as assigned.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Assists the Director in interviewing and hiring; trains; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; implements disciplinary actions; addresses complaints; and resolves problems.

Skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - (Required skill, Education, and Experience):
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or related health services or equivalent education.
Preferred: Experience supervising CSW Trainees and providing training/education to adults and diverse populations.
Preferred: Experience with/training in Wraparound and PWB services, foster care culture, relevant EBPs, trauma informed care, and San Diego County MIS.

REQUIRED LICENSES/ REGISTRATION/ CERTIFICATIONS:
CA Board of Behavioral Sciences mental health practitioner license (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) or CA Board of Psychology clinical psychologist license (PhD, PsyD)
California Driver’s License
