Traveler must not permanently reside within a 75-mile radius of intended facility. Please note time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval. Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved.

13-week assignment, 2 years’ experience required in a large hospital. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment previously.

Job Description: *Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of speech, language, communication, cognition, hearing and dysphasia disorders. *Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served *Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, cognitive, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient. *Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence. *Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care. *Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care. *Requires detailed knowledge of speech and language pathology in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data *Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting

Certifications: Must have SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and BLS certificate. BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Experience and certification for VFSS a plus, but not required.

EMR: EPIC experience preferred, but not required.

Shifts: 8/10-hour Days position (primarily in out-patient with some in-patient daily. 90/10%, M-F). Schedule may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends, holidays, and float as needed. Travelers are first to float across facilities within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.
