Sun Valley Specialty Healthcare, Inc. / Totally Kids is a sub-acute facility and outpatient rehabilitation center that provides pediatric speech, occupational and physical therapies for children from 0-21 years. We are looking for a full-time or part-time compassionate, energetic, fun-loving Speech Language Pathologist to join our collaborative interdisciplinary team of therapists. Desirable candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work well as part of a team, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Speech-Language Pathologist Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Performs evaluations, sets appropriate goals, and provides quality speech therapy to clients.
Supervises and supports SLPAs according to state guidelines.
Builds and maintains rapport with family members, and provides parent/caregiver education as needed.
Communicates and collaborates with other team members about speech therapy services.
Completes professional documentation, from evaluation/progress reports to daily notes.
Participates in multidisciplinary Plan of Care documentation and care conferences as requested.
Enters appropriate billing for patient services into the electronic medical system.
Develops, writes, and instructs patients and families in therapy home programs.
Assists in the orientation and training of other staff members.
Assists in projects related to the development of clinical programs and/or accomplishment of department goals.

Qualifications:
Masters Degree.
Current CA SLP license.
ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence.
Experience/interest in patients with tracheostomy, ventilator dependence, passy muir valve.
Ability to meet deadlines; detail and task-oriented.
Comfort participating as part of an interdisciplinary medical team.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Full-Time Status:
20-29 hours per week (part-time) OR 36-40 hours per week.
The schedule is flexible, make your own. Hours may be split into 4, 6, 8, or 10-hour days.
The caseload includes children and young adults aged from birth to 21 years in a long-term care setting.
Will provide supervision/mentorship for outpatient SLPAs.
