THE POSITION

The Quality Improvement (QI) Division Director is part of the Quality Management (QM) leadership team and has overall responsibility for developing, implementing, and overseeing the department’s federally mandated Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program for two delivery systems: Mental Health Plan (MHP) and Drug Medi-Cal-Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS).

Through the lens of system structure and operations, QI collaborates with key stakeholders including ACBH leadership, contract providers, consumers, and family members to build a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). This role provides direct supervision to QI managers, who have the following primary functional areas: Quality Improvement Committee, Performance Improvement Projects, Quality Improvement Work Plan, External Quality Reviews, performance assessment and monitoring strategies, performance measurement data analysis, and the department’s Policies & Procedures. This position reports directly to the QM Program Director. Experience working in healthcare quality management is preferred.

EDUCATION: Possession of a Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Public Administration, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field. -AND-

EXPERIENCE: The equivalent of five years of full-time, post-graduate professional management and supervisory experience in directing a large public or private health care program or organization, which must have included progressive responsibility in planning, organizing and providing leadership in the areas of program operations, management and evaluation. Some division assignments may also require at least one year of management experience in the administration of clinical services.

LICENSE: If required by the incumbent’s division assignment, possession of a current valid clinical license from the applicable licensing authority in the State of California.

The current recruitment is to fill the Division Director in the Quality Improvement Program; however, the eligible list resulting from this recruitment could be used to fill future vacancies across different units/program areas.
