SMART Physician Recruiting is seeking Anesthesia Board-certified or Board-eligible Physicians for a new opportunity in Brooklyn, New York. This position can either be locum tenens, permanent, or transitional from locum tenens to perm. This position is ideal for experienced general anesthetist doctors that are looking for a long term assignment, or to transition into a full-time faculty position. Ideally, we would be looking for full-time doctors that have either a Fellowship in Pediatrics, or experience with Peds. This is not a requirement for Locum doctors.  Start date can be ASAP, pending credentialing.

• Locums Rate:$1,600/day – plus travel and malpractice insurance with tail


• Full-Time Salary: $350k salary, plus full benefits package


• Cases per Day: 2-5/day – can be up to 8 if most of them are endo


• Medical Direction: There are no CRNAs to supervise, but there will be the occasional resident needing a consultation


• Case Types: Mostly general B&B. OB, General Surgery, Ortho, GI. This is a hospital setting, so well-rounded experience is a must.


• Week Length: M-F, 7am-5pm (1/2hr lunch break + intermittent breaks and down-time) – Guaranteed 40hr week


• Call Schedule: No call is required for locum physician – will be discussed for the permanent position


• Special Requirements/Further information: BC/BE in Anesthesia, Case Logs, must be fairly local and have an active NY license. Phone interview and on-site interview required.


• License/Credentialing: 30-90 days


• Start Date: ASAP
