Location: Eastern Mississippi (Inquire for specific location)
Duration: August 28 - ongoing
Reason for coverage: need additional coverage
Schedule: 1-4 weeks/month
Shift: Physicians will provide 24-hour call coverage (rounding and in unit daily)
Call: 24-hour call from hotel overnight. Call back not very often in the evening unless high-risk delivery that comes in unscheduled, likely no more than twice in a month.
Patient volume: average daily census in the NICU is 6 and 7 in well baby.
Scope: Level III NICU; They no longer have an oscillator but do have CMV, high – flow, and bubble CPAP. They do not have cooling, surgery, or ECMO. Keeping babies 26 week and up or 600 grams and up as long as they are stable not requiring surgery. Neonatologists assist NNP’s with assessments if we are extremely busy and make rounds, but that all can be delegated to NNP if they prefer. Providers would be expected to attend high-risk deliveries.
EMR: Epic
Affiliated Hospital: level 3 trauma facility with a 12 bed level 3 NICU
Group/support: NNP coverage 24/7 in house
Requirements: Active MS license (will consider IMLC). Board certified or truly board eligible

Minimum 1 years of experience preferred.
