We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (ARNP/FNP) for a locum tenens opportunity near Tacoma, WA. This is a fantastic chance to work in a vibrant, community-centered outpatient setting. The position is within a Community Health Center that provides essential care to underserved populations, including migrants and refugees.

Key Details:

• Position Type: Locum Tenens


• Location: Near Tacoma, WA


• Start Date: 11/04/2024


• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with the potential for extension


• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


• Shift: Day shifts (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week), no call required


• Patient Load: Up to 18 patients per day, ranging from newborns to geriatrics

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care services in an outpatient ambulatory setting


• Perform basic procedures such as injections, IUD placements, and minor wound care


• Work with a diverse patient population, including refugees and migrants, with interpretive services available


• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and with vulnerable populations


• Collaborate with a dedicated medical team, including medical assistants, mental health therapists, and dietitians

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Family Practice (BC)


• Washington State License required (active WA license)


• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and DEA required


• Minimum Experience: 2+ years of experience; familiarity with EPIC EMR


• Vaccination: COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are mandatory

Additional Information:

• No housing provided for providers working 3-4 days per week


• Overtime is only approved if productivity expectations are exceeded


• Credentialing timeframe: 2-3 weeks


• Must have a clean background with no malpractice history
