We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine physician for a locum tenens position in southeastern Ohio. Position Overview:

• Location: Near Junction City, OH


• Position: Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Physician


• Shifts: Varied, primarily 8 PM – 8 AM, including weekends


• Patient Volume: 25-35 patients per day on average


• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 30,000


• Start Date: November 1, 2024


• Length of Assignment: Ongoing, 5+ shifts per month


• Licensing Requirements: Must hold an active Ohio state license (IMLC not accepted)


• Certifications Required: ABMS/AOA Board Certification, NRP, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS


• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years recent experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency care, managing a range of acute conditions


• Work collaboratively with mid-level providers, particularly during night shifts and weekends


• Manage patient documentation independently using EPIC EMR system


• Respond to all ED codes; handle transfers for trauma cases to tertiary care centers


• Provide exceptional patient care in a non-trauma, free-standing emergency department

• No on-call requirements

• Medical staff fees reimbursed after completion of the first shift
