Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Critical Care – Near Richland, WA (ASAP - Ongoing)

We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with ICU experience for a locum tenens assignment near Richland, WA. This critical care role is open due to a long-term vacancy and will require night shift coverage on a 7 on/7 off schedule, with no call requirements. The assignment will be ongoing, with coverage needed until a permanent provider is hired.

The ideal candidate should have experience in an ICU setting, be comfortable performing a variety of procedures, and be board-certified. This opportunity is perfect for advanced practice providers looking for consistent, long-term shifts in a high-acuity environment.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing


• Shift Type: Night shift only (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)


• Schedule: 7 on/7 off (Thursday through Wednesday)


• Patients Per Shift: 6-8


• Bed Count in ICU: 14


• Practice Setting: Inpatient ICU


• No Call Requirements: Critical care physician on-call for backup support

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced critical care to assigned ICU patients during night shifts.


• Perform necessary procedures such as:

  • Arterial lines
  
  
  • Intubations
  
  
  • Paracentesis (occasional)
  
  
  
  


• Collaborate closely with the critical care team and other hospital staff to deliver optimal patient care.


• Participate in rounding on assigned ICU patients.

Certification and Experience Requirements:

  Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

  FNP, ACNP, ARNP Considered: Based on experience level

• Practice Setting: Inpatient ICU (no outpatient responsibilities)


• Backup Support: Critical care physician available on-call for assistance
