We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic Emergency Medicine Program near Tucson, AZ. This full-time opportunity allows you to work in a well-equipped, 18-bed neighborhood hospital that operates 24/7, providing comprehensive emergency care to our community. Our facility features a full-service emergency department, two operating rooms, and offers outpatient imaging and lab services.
Position Overview:
As a PA in our Emergency Medicine Program, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, performing examinations, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Position Details:
- Annual ED Visits: Approximately 22,630, providing diverse clinical experiences
- Patient Load: Average of 1.8 patients per hour, ensuring manageable shifts
- Coverage:
- 27 hours of physician coverage daily
- 10 hours of PA coverage daily
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Utilization of Cerner for efficient patient documentation
- Compensation: Competitive salary with additional night differential pay
