Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician Opportunity Near Sacramento, CA (ASAP - Ongoing)

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician for a full-time locum tenens assignment near Sacramento, California. This opportunity involves both clinic and hospital-based care, providing a comprehensive range of OB/GYN services, including surgeries, call coverage, and patient consultations. The ideal candidate will be available for full-time clinic hours and hospital call shifts, with the flexibility to start as soon as possible.

Assignment Details:

• Shift Type: Varied (On Call Daily)


• Shift Times: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm for clinic; 24-hour on-call coverage as required


• Weekend Requirements: Yes


• On Call Requirements: Yes (including hospital coverage for surgeries, deliveries, and other urgent OB/GYN needs)

Practice Setting:

• Ambulatory Clinic: Office visits, procedures, and consults


• Hospital Setting: Inpatient and outpatient surgeries, deliveries, and call coverage


• Full-Time Coverage: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm for clinic hours


• Call Coverage: 7 days of call coverage required as part of the assignment

Responsibilities:

• Provide full-scope OB/GYN care in both clinic and hospital settings


• Perform surgeries, deliveries, and routine OB/GYN procedures


• Manage patient consultations, office visits, and follow-up care


• Collaborate with a dedicated medical assistant and other support staff

Required Procedures:

• Usual and customary procedures for an OB/GYN practice


• Inpatient and outpatient surgeries


• Deliveries and call responsibilities in a hospital setting

Support and Worksite Resources:

• Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant and APP support


• Worksite Resources: 2 full-time OB/GYN physicians currently on staff


• Patients per Day: 20-24 patients per day in the clinic


• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner

Job Requirements:

• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN


• Licensure: Active California State License required


• DEA Certification: Required


• Experience: Full-scope OB/GYN experience preferred
