We are actively seeking a skilled Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Tampa, FL. This position is ideal for a dedicated gastroenterologist looking for a flexible assignment with a focus on inpatient care. The role requires providing clinical coverage with some on-call responsibilities, starting in November.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Provide gastroenterology consultations for hospitalized patients, including variable endoscopy needs

Manage 5-10 hospital consults per day

Light night call responsibilities with 5-10 call-backs per month

No admissions required

Adult-only patient care

Qualifications:

License: Must be licensed to practice in Florida

Certifications:
- ABLS: Not required
- ACLS: Required
- BLS: Not required
- PALS: Not required

Board Certification: Board certification required; fellowship preferred

Temporary Privileges: Available for expedited onboarding

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 45 days

Additional Details:

Holidays: Coverage available for New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Hospital Details: 141 beds, with no stroke certification required
