Position Overview:

Shift Details:

Coverage Type:
- Scheduled clinical hours (Mon-Fri)
- Night calls and call-back
- 24-hour calls on weekends

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient coverage required

Patients Per Shift: Approximately 10 patients

Beds in Department: Hospital with 187 beds

Responsibilities:

Rounding: Both inpatient and outpatient rounding required

Admissions: Yes, admissions are required

Surgical Procedures:
- Assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeries
- Pre- and post-operative care for patients

Requirements:

Board Certification:
- Must be board-certified
- Fellowship preferred but not required

Certifications Required:
- ABLS
- ACLS
- ATLS
- BLS
- PALS

Licensure:
- No specific license requirement to bid, but an active license in Kansas or IMLC eligibility preferred

Temporary Privileges:
- Available for candidates with clean records

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days for full credentialing

Systems & Support:

EMR System: Epic (training will be provided)

Practice Setting:
- Inpatient and outpatient
- Provider must have hospital/surgery center privileges

Support Staff: A team of nurses and medical assistants will assist in patient care
