  • Scope of Practice:
    
    
    
    • Assess, diagnose, monitor, promote health, and manage care for adolescent and adult females.
    
    
    • Focus on pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, gynecological needs, and care of the well newborn (first 28 days of life).
    
    
    • Admitting patients to the hospital under MD consult.
    
    
    • Providing care in intensive care settings as per unit policies.
    
    
    • Assessing, stabilizing, and determining the disposition of patients with emergent conditions in accordance with medical staff policies.
