We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position near Springfield, MO, starting as soon as possible. This role is crucial for providing high-quality anesthesia care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while a permanent hire is being recruited. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anesthesia and be available for a full-time commitment, including scheduled call coverage.

  • Perform procedures including general anesthesia, epidurals, regional nerve blocks, and central lines.

  • Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday with additional call coverage.
  
  
  • Call Coverage:
    
    
    
    • Weekday Call: Starts after scheduled cases, typically from 3-5 PM until 7:00 AM the following day.
    
    
    • Weekend Call:
      
      
      
      • Friday: Starts at 3 PM and continues through Monday at 7:00 AM.
      
      
      • Saturday and Sunday: 24-hour call shifts.

  • General anesthesia, epidural (preferred), regional nerve blocks (preferred), central lines (preferred), and MAC.
  
  
  • No neuro or cardiac anesthesia required.

  Covid Vaccine Requirement: Required to bid.

  
  

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Eligible.


• Licensure: Must be licensed in the state of Missouri or willing to obtain.


• Certifications:
  
  
  
  • BLS: Required.
  
  
  • ACLS, ABLS, ATLS, PALS: Not required.
  
  
  
  


• EMR System: Proficiency in Epic.

Additional Information:

• Privileges: Provider will need hospital/surgery center privileges; temporary privileges are available.


• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days.
