New Job Details – Trauma Surgery
Location: Louisiana
Duration: January - June 2025 with potential to extend
Schedule: 3-7 day blocks per month
Shift: 8a-5p in house, night call 5p-8a
Scope: No clinic, no elective OR, OR is only urgent or emergent. day and night coverage of the intensive care unit, trauma service, and emergency general surgery as well as back-up coverage as scheduled. Solo coverage with back up and residents. Taking cancer center calls, cover acute care surgery at night (except for Fri and Sat night) Responsible for surgical airway at night. Take call for trauma pts, acute care surgery mon-fri,
EMR: Epic
Affiliated Hospital: Level 1 trauma center
Group/support: APPs, residents
Requirements: Active LA or IMLC license, Board certified, fellowship in GS/Surg Critical Care
