With a population of over 89,000 Redding is located in Shasta County. The city lies along the mystic Sacramento River with mountains all around and national parks nearby. Redding is also home to the famous Sundial Bridge, world-class fishing and 200 miles of hiking and biking trails. Considered an outdoor paradise for young and old alike this quaint town also offers a variety of great shopping and hundreds of restaurants. Redding is located at the very northwestern end of the Central Valley, which transitions into the Cascade foothills. Shasta County is 160 miles north of Sacramento and 230 miles north of San Francisco. Affordable housing is nearby in the communities of Redding, Shasta Lake, and Anderson.

Site Description:
Shasta Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is a 226-bed acute care, medical and surgical facility with a full range of ancillary services. SRMC has been serving far Northern California since 1945. The hospital has a highly efficient and expanded Emergency Department with minimal patient wait times, a technologically advanced cardiac cath lab available 24/7, an accredited Stroke Team and digital (filmless) radiology services. There are more than 900 registered nurses, technicians, and support personnel working alongside more than 300 physicians on staff.

Site allows Advanced Practice Providers to practice to their fullest capabilities. Advanced Practice Providers are fully allowed to expand their knowledge and practice with ample guidance and physician support with the ability to operate in the acute and fast track setting with an attending staff that is highly accepting of the Advanced Practice Provider staff.

Board Certified AHP
CA Medical License
DEA
ACLS
PALS
