The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, in close consultation with primary care and other members of the interdisciplinary team, provides office, home and nursing home based psychiatric evaluation and treatment for participants in the Elder Service (PACE) program. In addition to direct evaluation and treatment, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides consultation, on request, to members of the interdisciplinary team who are coordinating psychiatric treatment through outside providers, or who may need advice on management of participants/patients who are not willing to engage directly with psychiatric treatment provider.

Minimum Skills, Experience and Education: Masters of Science in Nursing, five years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner with two years of experience prescribing psychotropic medication to adult psychiatric patients, Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required. Masters of Science in Family Practice, skilled and experienced in prescribing psychotropic medication to adults and elders and exceptional interpersonal skills preferred.
