* Three positions in one: pediatric emergency department, pediatric hospitalist, well nursery rounding
* 6 bed pediatric emergency department, 16,000 visits per year* 14 bed pediatric inpatient unit, average census 4-10* Rounding 5-7 hours per day on inpatient unit and well nursery (nursery census generally 1-4)* Pedi EM shifts are from 8 to 10 hours
* Level IIb Special Care Nursery on site
* No deliveries or long-term ventilators (vents available for patients awaiting transfer)
* Procedures include lumbar punctures and incision and drainage* Supported by neonatologists, ED pediatric nurse practitioners, RN staff, resp therapists
* Inpatient charting is done on paper, ED charting is done with MedHost system* Conveniently located 15 miles north of Boston
