Key Responsibilities:

• Shifts: Night shifts (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.)


• Work Environment: On-site throughout the entire shift


• Hospital Type: Various locations with bed capacities ranging from 100-700


• Call Coverage: Depending on the site, may involve handling admit calls, cross-covering inpatient census, and providing care to patients during the night

• ICU Rounding: Yes, open ICU involvement


• Procedures: No procedures or ventilator management required


• Support: Varies based on the hospital; larger hospitals typically have physicians on-site, while smaller hospitals may have physicians available on-call


• Orientation: Includes EMR training, and a shadow shift can be arranged if needed

Candidate Requirements:

• Certification: Must be a PA or Acute Care NP


• Experience: Prior hospitalist experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered at certain sites


• Competencies: Must be comfortable working independently at night and managing inpatient hospitalist care


• Credentialing: 12 months of inpatient encounter logs required unless a new graduate


• Emergency Privileges: Not available
