Job Responsibilities:

Call Schedule:
- General surgery and trauma call
- Manage 10-15 patients per shift, with 2-5 new admissions

Admissions Required: Yes

Rounding: Assigned patients

Holidays Allowed: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Requirements:

Board Certification: Required
- Board Certified in General Surgery

Licensing:
- Licensed in WA or IMLC
- No reimbursement for licensing costs

Certifications Required:
- ATLS

Additional Certifications:
- BLS and ACLS are not required

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45-60 days

Facility Details:

Hospital Information:
- Level 3 trauma facility
- Supported by an APP - Surgical Hospitalist
- Most admissions handled by the Adult Hospitalist team

Department Information:
- Surgery department with an add-on room
- Two crews scheduled on weekends

Additional Information:

Temporary privileges available

The facility does not require hospital/surgery center privileges

The locum will work in an environment with a dedicated trauma care team and an established support system
