  Key Responsibilities:

  
  
  
  
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of adult and geriatric patients with breast conditions in the outpatient clinic setting.
  
  
  • Perform a variety of breast surgery procedures in the operating room, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
  • Assist with other general surgical cases as needed, including cholecystectomies and hernioplasties.
  
  
  • Collaborate effectively with the on-call team to manage patient care needs outside of regular clinic hours.
  
  
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the EPIC EMR system.

  Qualifications for Success:

  
  
  
  
  • Current board certification in General Surgery is mandatory.
  
  
  • Valid and active medical license in the state of South Carolina and a DEA registration are required (no exceptions).
  
  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
  
  
  • A clean background check (medical and criminal) is essential.
  
  
  • Extensive training and experience in breast surgery is highly preferred, with a fellowship strongly encouraged.
  
  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and staff.
  
  
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is crucial.
