Tues, Thurs: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (clinic)

Work Details

Each provider rotates hospital call every other week.

After-hour consults are seen before and after office hours at 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Urgent consults after hours and weekends are sent to other campuses.

Combination of hospital rounding, clinic, and consults.

Technology: Pill Camera (No lab or x-ray on site)

Special Procedures

Preferred Procedure: PEG

Required Skills: GI Endoscopy (upper and lower) with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs laser), banding of varices, Esophageal dilation/manometry, small bowel biopsy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp.

Not Required Procedures: Internal Medicine, ERCP, EUS, Liver biopsy, Esophageal manometry interpretation or Insertion/management of Sengstaken or Blakemore tube.
