This provides the patient with a convenient choice of facilities and allows our physicians faster access to information needed in the care of their patients.We also offer spirometry, chest X-ray, ECG, oximetry, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), as well as services for sleep disorders.This practice is accepting new patients.
Job Description:
Samaritan Hospital is looking for 2-3 ICU Critical Care Intensivists to start 7 on/ 7off ASAP and is expected to be long term coverage. Will accept locum, locum to perm, and perm candidates!*Great community hospital, supportive environment, 2 Hospitalists in-house 8p-8a for support, 1st shift will shadow a provider for full orientation to job role/expectations!*
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off, nights only 7p-7a. Would prefer to do 2 providers 7 on/7 off.
Reason for Coverage: Transitioning from hospitalist managed to intensivist managed ICU model, increased patient acuity
Trauma Level: Community based hospital
Total number of beds: 300 in the hospital
Total number if ICU beds: 28
Patient Census:
Whole hospital – average 105
ICU – average 11, max 15
Step Down unit – average 4, max 6
ICU bed size 19 beds, due to nurse staffing average census has been 11, max 15
Type of ICU Closed

Who handles admissions ICU/SDU Admissions – this provider, Med/Surg - Hospitalists
Additional Provider Requirements: Management of step down unit – average 4 patients
5 Critical Care Physicians in the group
EMR: Epic
Required Procedures/Skills: care for ICU/SDU level of acuity, Invasive vent management, TLC insertion and management, , thermogard for TTM post arrest
Credentialing Timeframe: ~4 weeks
