Department was recently built--very up to date, modern environment utilizing a user friendly EMR, ultrasound within the ED, PACS system, a dedicated fast track area, an active hospitalist team for admissions and all the other conveniences that ensure smooth patient flow. Ample physician coverage in the department keeps physician's patient per hour average around 2.1. The team in the emergency department, physicians as well as nurses, have enjoyed a great deal of stability with very little turnover.
