Location: New Hampshire (Inquire for specific location)
Duration: Asap for 6-12 months. Option to extend
Reason for coverage: Growth
Schedule: Full time. Will consider 2 weeks/month
Shift: Monday-Friday 8a-5p, one hour lunch from 12p-1p.
Call: N/A
Patient volume: 13-16 patients per day avg.
Scope: Provides office-based general neurology services to new and established patients (mostly adults and adolescents) including medication management, education and counseling of patients and families, ordering diagnostic tests, referral to related other specialties (e.g., cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine) locally, referral to subspecialty neurologists at tertiary care centers, and communication with PCP’s. Partners with other members of neurology team (e.g., radiologist, EEG technologists, MA’s and RN’s, physical therapists).
• Skills to perform (without a technician) and interpret EMG's.
• Skills to interpret EEGs
Most commonly diagnoses encountered are:
• Migraine
• Memory loss
• Essential tremor
• Parkinson’s disease
• Cognitive impairment
• Dizziness
• Epilepsy
• Multiple sclerosis
• Polyneuropathy
• Headache
EMR: Meditech
Hospital: 25 Bed Hospital
Group/support: Full support staff. Radiologist, EEG technologists, MA’s and RN’s, physical therapists
Requirements (boards, license): Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neurology. Active New Hampshire or IMLC License
