Description
We are seeking 2-3 Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity at a high-volume inpatient facility in California. Position Details:
Start Date: April 1, 2025
Duration: Ongoing
Setting: Inpatient Emergency Department
Patient Volume: Average 110 patients per 24-hour shift
Shifts: Various night and day shifts available from April to June (subject to credentialing)
Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days
EMR System: Epic
Licensure Requirement: Active California medical license
Board Certification: ABEM/ABEOM certified or eligible within five years of residency
Work Conditions & Requirements:
Call Responsibilities: None
Supervision: Required for Advanced Practice Providers
Overtime: Paid after 12 hours (pre-approval required)
Guaranteed Hours: 8 per shift
Hospital Privileges: Not required
Temporary Privileges: Not available
24/7 On-Site Support Services Include:
Anesthesia, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Cath Lab, General Surgery
Laboratory, Neuro-Surgery, OR Response, Orthopedic Surgery
Radiology, Vascular Surgery
