Assignment Dates: Ongoing, 45 shifts per month coverage needed

Requirements:

State License: North Carolina (MUST have NC license)

Certifications:

Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

Experience:

Proficiency with tube thoracostomy

Central venous catheter placement

Arterial line placement preferred

In this Role:
As a Trauma Surgery APP Locums at our healthcare facility in Buncombe County, NC, you will provide vital support for all trauma patients, from emergency department to recovery, averaging 10-15 patients daily, and managing incoming trauma cases in the Emergency department. You will perform essential procedures such as chest tubes (open and pigtail), central lines, arterial lines, and laceration repairs. You will work within a collaborative team environment that includes attending surgeons, APPs, residents, and trauma nurse leads, covering both day (0700-1900) and night (1800-0700) shifts, including weekends and holidays, with 24-hour shifts available but not required. This role does not include ICU responsibilities, focusing instead on trauma patient management outside the ICU setting.
