Hem Onc Medical Director in SC10 miles to Myrtle Beach 100 miles to Charleston 4 hours to Savannah New Family Medicine Residency Program NCAA Division I Athletics Join a non-for-profit 400 physician friendly Multi-specialty group is adding an experienced BC Hem Onc to the team. • Outpatient and inpatient role • Standard office hours (Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm, Friday: 8am-12pm) • Protected administrative time (4 hours per week) • Support Staff: Dedicated nurse, APPs, specialized oncology nursing team, with additional support from radiation oncology, physical rehab, oncology nutrition, social workers, genetic counselors, and RN navigators • 3 Physicians (2 in-office, 1 remote- Telehealth only) 2 APP, 1 additional physician starting August 2025 • Cerner EMR • Average Patient Volume: 18-22 patients per day (1hr NP, 30-45min F/U) • Patient Census: Primarily adult patients with a wide range of cancers and hematologic disorders, from early-stage to advanced. • Demographics: A mix of rural and suburban patients, many with complex care needs. VISIT TYPES AND PROCEDURES: • 45% Hematology and 55% Oncology • Visit types: Initial cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, chemotherapy follow-ups, and management of hematologic conditions like anemia and clotting disorders. • Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, port insertions, chemotherapy administration, and oversight of clinical trials. SUPPORT: • Clinic/Facility: 10-chair infusion center, onsite lab and pharmacy, two additional infusion centers on campus (1 general/1 rheumatology) • Imaging/Diagnostics: PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammography, breast MRI, high-definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy • Tumor Boards: Bi-weekly for breast, PCC, GI, and ENT • Surgical Referrals: Includes breast, colorectal, and vascular; Bone marrow transplants referred out • Teaching Affiliation: Involves Family Medicine residency and med student • Research & Trials: Currently no active clinical trials; aligned with Duke for access to approximately 450 protocols Benefits: • MGMA base salary DOE plus RVU • Sign on - 35k • Relocation • Tuition assistance • Comprehensive benefits • 403B & 457 funded plan • CME • PTO • Malpractice Insurance/Tail Coverage Community: There are 100+ quality golf courses, 60 miles of public beaches, a minor league baseball team, gardens, state parks, the largest mall in the state and much more.
