Part-time opportunity for a Research Physician in an existing Clinical Research program - Pensacola, FL Our rapidly growing GI research facility located in Pensacola, FL is looking for a qualified Physician to fill a Principal Investigator (PI) role within an ongoing, successful clinical research program for general overnight matters and FMV procedures. The ideal PI will specialize in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, or Hepatology. Prior clinical research experience is necessary.
The Physician must: • Have an active license to practice in the state of Florida • Maintain own professional liability insurance • Complete HIPAA, GCP, and other necessary training(s) provided by the Company as determined by the HIPPA Privacy and Security Officer(s) • Provide onsite clinical supervision, oversight and direction for operations of the research site related to each study performed, as needed • Upon request, review and approve policy and procedure that guide operations • Be available for consultation to the research site staff when there is a need for Physician input on an issue, either clinical or non-clinical in nature • Never have had a license to practice medicine in any state suspended or revoked • Never have been reprimanded, sanctioned or disciplined by any licensing board or state or local medical society or any specialty board • Hold and maintain board certification or equivalent training and experience in gastrointestinal and/or digestive health medicine • Have never been denied membership or reappointment of membership on the medical staff of any hospital, nor had any hospital membership or privileges suspended or revoked by any health care provider • Not have voluntarily surrendered his/her medical staff membership or privileges, or withdrawn his/her application for the same, in lieu of an investigation • Have never been denied membership or provider status in a Medical group, IPA, health plan, HMO, PPO, or other healthcare delivery entity or system, or ever had such membership or provider status terminated or not renewed based on professional incompetence • At all times provide patient services in an ethical and professional manner as described in the AMA Canons of Ethics for Physicians • Not currently, and has never been, excluded, suspended, or otherwise ineligible to participate in governmental health care programs, including Medicare and Medicaid programs • Not have been convicted of, or pled guilty to, a criminal offense related to the provision of health care items or services or liable for any civil monetary penalties for Medicare or Medicaid violations The ObjectiveGI Way Our approach is to directly impact lives. Expected time commitment is 3-5 hours per week on site with the opportunity for growth if desired. Expected pay is $325 per hour with submission of a time log. The Company also pays additional physician fees at fair market value for physical exams and other procedures.
