Description
Will provide support to physician in the hospital, ICU and PCU. Will be responsible for evaluating and coordinating treatment of patients. The NP/PA will communicate directly daily with the designated Pulmonologist/Intensivist concerning each patient. In the event of a medical emergency or a circumstance beyond the scope of practice of the NP/PA, they will notify the designated Pulmonologist/Intensivist. Must be licensed in the state of Maryland. Training: •The Nurse Practitioner must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred. Position requires successful completion of an approved Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. Candidate must be certified and licensed in Maryland.
•The Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-PA approved program and must have a Physician Assistant license in Maryland. The Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-PA approved program and must have a Physician Assistant license in Maryland.
•Must have, and maintain, ACLS certification. Must be able to work effectively in emergency situations and under stress, exhibit proficient leadership skills, work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team and develop productive working relationships with a diverse group of people.
