Description
Facility:
Facility is an extremely busy facility that is dedicated to the care, treatment, education and research of people with all forms of diabetes. Facility is recognized as a leading center in diabetes.
Location:
Located in Salinas, approximately 2 hours south of San Francisco.
Major Responsibilities
Develop, implement and monitor a treatment plan for a group of patients.
Participate in patient centered research including publishing papers.
Participate and teach various group classes in self-management of diabetes.
Initiate and monitor patients on insulin pumps.
Initiate and interpret glucose sensors.Salary
Salary is negotiable with a range of $45-$52/hr.

Hours and Patient Load
Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:30PM
No weekend work
Patient Load = approx 16/day
Skills
Qualifications
Current State of California Nurse Practitioner/Furnishing license. (Required)
Experience in care and treatment of patients with diabetes. (Required)
Good communication skills. (Required)
ANCC Certification as Nurse Practitioner. (Required)
Valid DEA number. (Required)
Certified Diabetes Educator (Preferred)
Bilingual - Spnish-English. (Preferred).
