Description
Board Certified Trauma surgeon needed at Level II trauma center in St. Petersburg, Florida. Will join a team of four (4) acute care surgeons managing over 2,300 trauma encounters a year. Will share a 1:5 call schedule with additional backup responsibilities on a rotating basis.*Note, unable to accept H1Bs or J1s at this time Trauma Surgeon Responsibilities: Ensure that quality care and appropriate treatment are delivered to the trauma patient and initiate changes as needed to improve quality of care
Serve as a consultant to the medical and nursing staff on trauma-related issues
Provide trauma care and participate in the trauma surgeon call schedule
Trauma Surgeon Requirements:
BC general surgeon with additional certification in surgical critical care, trauma
Must have at least 5+ years of experience in trauma
Clinical excellence in general surgery, traumatology and surgical critical care
Active involvement in prehospital and inter-hospital educational events
