Description
The San Angelo State Supported Living Center (SSLC) is seeking a Psychiatrist IV to join an interdisciplinary team of professionals to provide clinical care to residents of the SSLC. As a State Supported Living Center Psychiatrist you will work at the SSLC campus with a dynamic group of staff and professionals who are dedicated to providing supports and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a team environment where staff clinicians collaborate to provide comprehensive care and services. Performs highly advanced and/or managerial (senior-level) psychiatric work. Work involves directing psychiatric activities, monitoring trends and activities, diagnosing and treating patients, and administering specialized psychiatric and medical treatments and procedures. May plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:
Texas Medical License – Unrestricted Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry DEA Certificate – Unrestricted
Initial Selection Criteria:
Medical License in Texas Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry DEA number Work experience with evidence based medication At least five years of experience working as a psychiatrist Experience working with people with mental illness and intellectual disabilities preferred
