This physician-owned group does all IP rounding in two area hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living communities. Daytime hospitalists round every week, Monday through Friday, and every third weekend. With 12-hour shifts, that would be impossible; instead, every physician has a list of patients to round on each day at a single facility and can take as much or as little time as necessary to see them.
