Description
Intensive Care Unit coverage at 1 hospital: medical, surgical subset of patients
Supervision by Intensivist for direct ICU admits and ICU procedures. Supervision by Hospitalist for any admits through the ED.
History taking and Physical exams
Stabilizing patients and monitoring
Procedural skill set
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
Developing treatment plans
Participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response Teams
Collaborate with nurses, respiratory therapists, consultants and administrative personnel
Skills
Intensive Care Unit -ICU 9 beds, usual census is 5- 6
Night coverage only: 7 on/ 7 off
Full-time (Part-time considered)
Graduate of certified training program
At least 3 years experience as PA/NP in hospital setting (ER, Critical care, inpatient), or Critical Care Residency trained
BLS/ACLS
Eligible for Delaware Licensure
Trained or willing to learn procedures: intubation, central line, arterial lines, thoracentesis, +/- chest tubes
Notes
Compensation Package: W-2 Base Salary 130k
If minimum 2-year commitment: potential sign on bonus & relocation stipend
CME $2500
