Details:
- Location: coastal North Carolina - 1 hr. from Norfolk, VA
- Duration: July – December (option to extend)
- Schedule: 10 days per month – 24-hour inpatient call shifts
- Shifts: Friday 7a – Monday 7a (can add more dates, but that is a minimum)
- Call: 24-hour weekend call shifts, can be taken from hotel
- Scope: Inpatient Pediatric Hospitalist 24-hr. Call only – newborn call, ED consults, NRP, Occasional extra-digit ligation
- No med/ped unit, circumcisions preferred but not required (OBs perform this)
- Volume: average 2 newborn admissions per day, 2-3 calls/day, average call back 1 every 3-4 days
- ED calls: 1/week (phone advise only, does not have to go in)
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital: 98 beds, no trauma
- Group: 2 MD’s, 1 .5 NP
- Credentialing: 2 weeks for temps
- Require: BC, Active NC license, NRP
