Coverage Needs

• Specific coverage need:  Jun 26 - July 5


• Then beyond needing approx. 1-2 weeks of coverage per month

• 24hr Continuous call
  
  
  
  • Can take call from home at nights but need to be on site within 30 min for emergencies 
  
  
  
  


• Takes under 10 days for Privileges 

Schedule 

• Hospital coverage,  either 8hr or 24hr call coverages 

Clinical Details 

• Busy facility with 30-40


• 5-10 New consults per day


• Perform diagnostic consultation and/or specialty services on ALL AGES


• Admission of Patients to Hospital


• History and Physical Examination


• Prescribe/Order Medications


• Sedation-Minimal


• ICU Admission


• Capsule Endoscopy


• Two PAs that cover the GI service as well
  
  
  
  • 7 day a week Physician Assistant support (8-5pm on weekdays, reduced hours on weekends) 
  
  
  
  

Requirements 

• Ability to perform ERCP 


• Active CA Medical License


• Active DEA


• BC in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine or Pediatrics

EMR 

• Epic

• 453 bed facility, 320 average census
